Shortcuts (Play mode)

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Likely cause and fix |
|---|---|
| No sound | MASTER down, CUTOFF fully left, both mixer levels at 0, or headphones in the mono OUTPUT. Also check Local SW is On (GLOBAL EDIT > button 4) |
| Turning a knob changes nothing | Knob Mode is Catch: keep turning past the stored value, or set Jump |
| My edits disappeared | You selected another program or switched off before WRITE |
| Out of tune | Analogue warm-up drift. SHIFT + REC to retune, and check Master Tune and Program Tuning |
| Notes sound twice from a DAW | Local SW Off, or turn off MIDI echo in the DAW |
| Won’t follow DAW or Volca tempo | Clock Source on Internal, wrong MIDI channel or route, or wrong sync polarity or unit. A cable in SYNC IN overrides MIDI clock |
| “Motion Full” | Four motions already recorded; clear one at SEQ EDIT > button 10 |
| Sequence plays wrong length or skips | Step Length or active steps (SHIFT + buttons) |
| Battery gauge wrong | Set Battery Type, and note it’s inaccurate on an adapter |
